Colchester Local Plan Consultation on Preferred Options
Colchester City Council have published a new set of preferred options and planning documents which impact Layer de la Haye and surrounding villages

There is to be a Colchester City Council meeting on 17th February at which:
“The Local Plan Committee are asked to : agree the content of the Preferred Options Colchester Local Plan (Regulation 18) as appended to this report as Appendix B. To agree to the publication of the Preferred Options Colchester Local Plan for consultation for a period of 6 weeks to commence as soon as reasonably practical following the Committee meeting.”

The headline news is that an additional 70 houses are proposed for Layer de la Haye on The Folley, those being split between the land known as The Furze and the large field to the side of the existing Denbury development. Other villages will be impacted to a far greater extent.
